This week the Mayor announced proposals to close Harrow Road, St John’s Wood and Marylebone Police Stations and Westminster Fire Station in Greycoat Place
This follows other civic building closures and proposed closures over the past few years
- closure of City Council One Stops at Church Street, Harrow Road and City Hall
- closure of St James’ Library on Victoria Street
- closure of the Walk-In clinic in Victoria
- proposed closure of the Jubilee Sports Centre in Queen’s Park
- closure of Westminster Adult Education Service buildings at Amberley Road and Ebury Bridge in Pimlico
- The sale of Old Marylebone Town Hall and Public Library on Marylebone Road
There’s this invention from a few years ago that means people can do things they would have previously had to visit a council office for from their own home… It’s called the internet.
And can the internet put out fires and deal with anti-social behaviour?
