Westbourne Labour Councillors support Youth Mentoring Project

Westbourne Ward Labour Councillors – David Boothroyd, Adam Hug and Papya Qureshi, have committed £ 8,440 from their Neighbourhood Fund towards the Westbourne Youth Mentoring Project Pilot run by Volunteer Centre Westminster, helping to improve  employability, readiness for further-education and life-skills of 16-25 year old individuals living in Westbourne by providing them with a programme of mentoring, training, volunteering and work experience.

The programme is free to users and young people are being referred to the scheme from a range of local youth support providers, including Westminster City Council NEETS and Young People Employability Unit, local schools and colleges, youth clubs and Job Centre Plus.
