Lord Ashcroft urged to re-open Westminster’s public toilets

Labour Councillors have written to Lord Ashcroft to urge him to re-open Westminster’s public toilets closed as a result of his company Carlsle’s contractual dispute with Westminster City Council;

Lord Ashcroft

I am very concerned that one of your companies, Carlisle, has unilaterally closed a number of public toilets as a consequence of a contractual dispute with Westminster City Council.

Clearly, the contractual issues need to be resolved by the normal legal processes. However, your decision to close a number of public toilets in the West End and elsewhere is causing massive problems for residents, workers, tourists, shoppers and cabbies.

Please can you intervene as a matter of urgency to ensure that all the closed public toilets are back open first thing on Monday morning.

Thank you

Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg
Leader of the Opposition
Westminster City Council
