Nik Slingsby calls for tough action against Harley Street medical waste dumpers

Following an ‘Evening Standard’ article on “medical waste including syringes, blood-filled tubes and pig snouts being dumped on the pavement by Harley Street firms’, Nik Slingsby has called on Westminster Council to take tough action against any further similar incidents.

Nik has also called on all medical establishments in the Harley Street and Wimpole Street area to be extra careful to ensure that all medical waste is disposed in the proper manner. He said;

“Harley Street and Wimpole Street are both busy streets with thousands of people walking up and down every day. Many people live and work in the area and it is vital that all medical waste is disposed of properly and not dumped in the street where it is a real danger to the public. We support action by the Council to take a tough line against any medical firms that dump waste on the pavement.”
