Westminster Council finally honours Sir Bradley Wiggins

Five years after Labour Councillors proposed that multi-Olympic Gold Medal winner Sir Bradley Wiggins be given the Freedom of Westminster, Westminster Council has finally marked his achievements with a blue plaque at Paddington recreation ground where he took his first tentative pedal strokes.

Sir Bradley’s grandmother, Maureen Cousins, unveiled the plaque on Saturday at Paddington Recreation Ground, where the Olympic and Tour de France champion grew up.
