“What matters to young people living in Westminster?”

A copy of “What matters to young people living in Westminster?”, a report presented to Westminster City Council by Save the Children, is now available.

Students from Paddington Academy, Quintin Kynaston, Westminster Academy, Westminster City and St George’s Schools took part.

The report made the following recommendations;

1. Westminster City Council and related commissioning public bodies to include the views of young people in the development and implementation of key strategies such as the health and wellbeing strategy.
2. Early intervention in young people who are at risk of being not in education, employment or training to make sure that young people’s high ambitions for success in education and employment do not go to waste.
3. Awareness raising and education to young people at an early stage to help reduce young people’s experiences of gang related crime and youth violence.
