Murad Qureshi, Member of the London Assembly, is undertaking a survey of residents’ views on the Baker Street/Gloucester Place proposals. He says
“It is my job to listen to your views about Transport for London’s work in London and to push them to make changes. Recently I have been contacted by a number of people in the Marylebone area who are concerned about the proposed changes to Baker Street and Gloucester Place.
You may be aware that Westminster City Council and Transport for London recently consulted on their proposed changes to the road layout. The consultation found that 70% of residents and visitors opposed the overall project, although support was higher for certain aspects of the scheme. A second consultation has been launched that proposes some alternative plans for specific parts of the scheme and I would urge you to respond.
This short survey is designed to run alongside the alternative proposals. I want to know what residents think about the second consultation and the proposed alternatives.”
